Material Handler

Salary: Material Handler
We are currently seeking a Material Handler to join our team. This role is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient movement of materials and products throughout the warehouse, from receiving and storage to order picking, packing, and shipment.
The successful candidate will be dependable, safety-conscious, physically capable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving & Unloading
- Receive and unload inbound freight safely and efficiently.
- Verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect materials for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report issues as required.
- Ensure received materials are accurately documented and processed.
Inventory Management
- Catalog, label, and organize products and materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure materials are stored safely and efficiently.
- Track the movement and location of products throughout the warehouse.
- Assist with maintaining an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment.
Order Picking & Packing
- Review pick sheets, work orders, and shipping documentation to accurately select materials.
- Pick, pack, and stage products for outbound shipments or internal production.
- Ensure products are properly handled and protected to prevent damage.
- Support the efficient flow of materials between receiving, storage, production, and shipping areas.
Technology & Documentation
- Use basic computer systems to enter, update, and track inventory information.
- Operate Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), RF scanners, or similar warehouse technology.
- Accurately complete required shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation.
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse, material handling, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience is considered an asset.
- Basic computer literacy with the ability to learn warehouse management systems and RF scanners.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately verify, track, and organize materials.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with supervisors and other departments.
- Previous experience operating material-handling equipment or forklifts is considered an asset.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including 8–12 hour shifts.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy materials as required.
- Ability to safely perform repetitive physical tasks.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment and following all workplace health and safety procedures.
Wage: $20.00/Hour
