Express Employment Professionals is looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic to join a growing team in Tallahassee. 🔧 What You'll Be Doing

• Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on heavy equipment
• Troubleshoot diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and brakes
• Inspect equipment and identify potential mechanical issues before they become major problems
• Use diagnostic tools and testing equipment to accurately troubleshoot repairs
• Complete work orders and maintain accurate service records
• Communicate with supervisors and equipment operators regarding equipment condition and repair needs
• Follow company safety procedures and industry standards

🚜 Equipment You'll Work On

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

Loaders • Excavators • Bulldozers • Forklifts • Construction Equipment • Diesel-Powered Machinery

✅ What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of Diesel Mechanic experience
• Heavy equipment experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and determine the appropriate repairs
• Ability to read schematics, service manuals, and technical documentation
• Valid driver's license
• CDL is a plus, but not required
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in outdoor conditions
• Dependable, safety-minded, and able to work independently
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

⭐ Extra Skills That Will Make You Stand Out

Not required, but we'd love to see experience with:

• Caterpillar, John Deere, Komatsu, or similar equipment
• Welding and fabrication
• ASE or other mechanic certifications
• Advanced hydraulic or electrical troubleshooting
