Machine Operator – Aerospace Manufacturing

Location: Fort Myers, FL
Pay: $19.00–$22.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1^st Shift  7:00 AM–3:30 PM   2^nd Shift 3:30pm-Midnight Mon-Fri

Position: Full-Time | Temp-to-Perm

We are currently hiring Machine Operators for an established aerospace manufacturing company that produces oil pumps and precision components used in aircraft.  We have a 1^st and 2^nd shift position open.

We are looking for dependable, hardworking individuals who take pride in their work and have a strong work ethic. Mechanical or machine shop experience is a plus, but we are willing to consider candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn.

 

Job Duties:

• Operate various machine tools to manufacture precision parts and components.
• Operate equipment such as mills, lathes, grinders, drills, boring and polishing machines, and presses.
• Follow detailed work instructions and production specifications.
• Read and understand blueprints, drawings, measurements, and engineering details.
• Perform basic inspection of finished parts to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Use hand tools, measuring tools, and other production equipment.
• Load and unload materials and parts from machines.
• Operate material-handling equipment such as forklifts, hoists, and dollies as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety and quality procedures.

Qualifications:

• Previous machine operation, manufacturing, mechanical, or machine shop experience preferred.
• Aerospace or precision manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and use basic measuring tools preferred.
• CNC experience is a plus, but not required.
• Must be mechanically inclined and comfortable working with machinery and hand tools.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to learn.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
