A local manufacturing company is seeking a detail-oriented QC Test Inspector to join their Quality Control team. This position is responsible for electrical testing, inspection, microsection analysis, quality documentation, and supporting laboratory testing within a technical production environment.

The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, good mechanical or technical aptitude, and is comfortable learning how to operate and maintain specialized testing and inspection equipment. Training is available for candidates who demonstrate the ability to learn technical processes and work accurately.

Job Description

The QC Test Inspector will inspect and electrically test products to ensure they meet customer specifications and established quality standards. This position will also assist with microsection preparation and analysis, troubleshoot electrical testing failures, maintain testing equipment, and provide backup support for analytical laboratory functions.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical testing and assist with testing equipment maintenance.
• Create and troubleshoot net listings.
• Investigate electrical testing failures, including internal failures and RMAs.
• Coordinate with other departments on process improvements related to board testing.
• Prepare, analyze, and measure microsections according to IPC standards.
• Prepare and evaluate process-control microsections.
• Perform incoming inspections to verify product quality and conformity to customer specifications.
• Learn to operate, troubleshoot, clean, calibrate, and perform preventive maintenance on inspection and testing equipment.
• Compile, enter, and maintain quality control records.
• Communicate scrap and quality concerns to department leadership for real-time feedback.
• Obtain and maintain required quality control inspection proficiencies.
• Follow all company quality, operational, and safety procedures.

Analytical Lab Support

This position will also provide backup coverage for the Analytical Lab Technician as needed.

• Sample, analyze, and document wet chemistry processes.
• Support testing for Electroless Copper, Hole Prep, Oxide, Etch, Gold, Pattern Plate, and Immersion Silver processes.
• Analyze tanks throughout wet-process production areas.
• Enter laboratory data into computer systems.
• Assist with statistical analysis and process controls.
• Make or communicate chemistry adjustments needed to maintain proper processes.

Experience & Qualifications

• Previous quality control, inspection, manufacturing, laboratory, electronics, or testing experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise inspection work.
• Technical and mechanical aptitude with a willingness to learn specialized equipment.
• Ability to understand and communicate effectively in English.
• Comfortable using computers for data entry and quality documentation.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and safety instructions.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Good close-up vision and ability to identify fine details.
• Must be able to distinguish colors accurately.
• Ability to adjust visual focus when performing detailed inspections.

• Monday: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• Tuesday: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• Wednesday: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• Thursday: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• Friday: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• Saturday & Sunday: Off

Graveyard Shift Schedule

• Sunday: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• Monday: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• Tuesday: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• Wednesday: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• Thursday: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• Friday & Saturday: Off
