Mon-Fri 8am to 4:30pm

A leading manufacturing company is seeking a Machine Operator I to operate production machinery, perform quality inspections, make minor machine adjustments, and maintain a safe and organized work area. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable using precision measuring equipment, and able to read blueprints or mechanical drawings. Machine Operator Responsibilities:

• Operate various machines within the assigned production cell.
• Make minor machine adjustments and notify the Lead or Setup person when more significant adjustments are needed.
• Maintain clean machines and an organized work area.
• Perform preventative maintenance, including lubricating machines as needed.
• Make minor repairs and notify Maintenance of additional repair needs.
• Perform various production tasks, including counting, cleaning, returning gauges and fixtures, and transferring parts.
• Use precision measuring equipment to maintain close tolerances.
• Follow production schedules, procedures, and work instructions.
• Adapt to cell and team concepts and participate in cross-training.
• Ensure all machine safety guards are properly installed and in good condition.
• Assist other machine operators as needed.
• Inspect work in progress using required inspection equipment and follow quality instructions.
• Take responsibility for the quality of completed work.
• Operate a forklift/powered industrial truck as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Machine Operator Requirements:

• Experience operating manufacturing or production machinery preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specification sheets, and/or mechanical drawings.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
• Comfortable using basic hand tools such as screwdrivers and wrenches.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
