Monday thru Friday – 7:30am to 4pm

$21hr to start.

Family-owned seasoning and spice company in Pacoima, producing high quality products found in all major supermarkets and meat markets in nine states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, Utah and Washington, is looking for a Production Associate to join their team.

Summary: Responsibilities include participating in periodic production team meetings, collaborating with all teams to optimize production activities based on workload and flexibility to support unscheduled changes to the production.  The Production associate is responsible for maintaining appropriate inventory of raw ingredients and mixing each recipe utilizing the quality control standards set by the regulatory agencies for food manufacturing.  Other responsibilities include maintaining a well-organized production area, ensuring all equipment is functional for use and strictly adheres to all regulatory sanitation standards.  The associate will work directly with the production manager or team lead to organize production supplies, request materials and/or tools needed for the mixing area and reporting any production issues.  A successful Production Associate thrives in a fast-paced work environment, demonstrates strong work ethics, operates with consistent speed and accuracy in completing daily tasks, provide constructive feedback to help improve the work environment, productivity and/or quality.  All Production Associates must possess a positive team player attitude and willingness to go above and beyond to ensure commitments are meet.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP), production guidelines and specifications.
  • Coordinate and maintain a clean production area by following Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures as defined for seasoning manufacturing.
  • Administer quality control processes in handling and mixing of all raw materials to ensure the color and appearance meets the company standards.
  • Administer quality control processes in associated with packaging maintained within the mixing area (filling bags and boxes.)
  • Complete appropriate documentation for all raw ingredients used or disposed or used to track mixed product throughout the production process.
  • Communicate any delays or production problems to Production Lead or Production Manager.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of filling materials to eliminate interruptions to production workflow.
  • Operate and maintain production line equipment.
  • Attend and participate in various production meetings.
  • Document and report all production issues to the Production Lead or Production Manager.
  • Performing other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a factory is beneficial.
  • Experience operating manufacturing machinery.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Physical dexterity and ability to lift 50 lbs. or greater.
