Assembler – Lafayette, IN

Pay: $19.00–$21.00/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Assembler to join a manufacturing/fabrication team. This position is responsible for producing components and finished products by assembling parts and subassemblies according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble parts, components, and subassemblies according to work instructions and specifications.
• Read and follow basic blueprints, drawings, assembly instructions, and part lists.
• Position parts using templates and measurements.
• Examine connections and components to ensure proper fit before fastening and assembly.
• Measure completed components to verify they meet specifications.
• Identify and communicate assembly or quality issues to supervisors.
• Use hand tools, clamps, and other equipment required for assembly.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance and report equipment malfunctions.
• Complete required production and quality documentation.
• Maintain inventory of parts and supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Work as part of a team to meet daily production goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing or assembly experience preferred.
• 2+ years of assembly experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, and measurements.
• Comfortable using hand tools, clamps, and related equipment.
• Basic understanding of quality control and inspection.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
