Monday through Friday – 8:30am to 5pm

$26hr to $29hr depending on experience.

A family-owned job shop specializing in aluminum salt bath brazing, proudly serving both the commercial and aerospace industries dedicated to quality, precision, and exceptional customer service is seeking a TIG Welder to join their team.

Summary: The TIG Welder will be responsible for performing precision TIG welding on aluminum and other materials in accordance with customer specifications, drawings, and established quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent hand skills, and the ability to produce clean, consistent welds in a job-shop environment. Experience tacking thin-gauge aluminum is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform TIG welding on aluminum and other metals as required.
  • Tack and weld thin-gauge aluminum components with precision and minimal distortion.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, weld symbols, and work instructions.
  • Set up and operate TIG welding equipment and associated tools.
  • Select appropriate welding parameters, tungsten, filler materials, and shielding gas for each application.
  • Inspect completed welds for quality, appearance, dimensions, and conformance to specifications.
  • Maintain consistent weld quality while meeting production requirements.
  • Identify and report welding defects or quality concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Properly maintain welding equipment, tools, and fixtures.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and quality requirements.
  • Work effectively as part of a team while also being able to work independently.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts and assist with problem-solving as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous TIG welding experience required.
  • Experience welding aluminum, particularly thin-gauge material, strongly preferred.
  • Experience tacking thin aluminum is a significant plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work independently and meet established production and quality standards.
  • Aerospace or precision manufacturing experience is a plus.
