Express Employment is currently recruiting to fill a Cook in the Downtown Omaha area!

Position Details

Type: Full Time
Schedule: Hours may vary 12 PM - 9 PM
Location: Omaha, NE
Pay/Salary: Up to $18/hr(Based on experience)

Job Details:

• Prepare and cook a variety of hot and cold food items according to established recipes, portion guidelines, and production schedules.
• Set up and maintain cafeteria food service stations, ensuring all food items are stocked, organized, and presented according to standards.
• Monitor cooking times, temperatures, and food quality to ensure all meals meet specifications and safety standards.
• Maintain clean and organized workstations while complying with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
• Prepare cafeteria menu items such as entrees, side dishes, soups, salads, sandwiches, desserts, and grab-and-go offerings following established guidelines.

Requirements:

• Proven experience preparing and serving food in a cafeteria, restaurant, school, healthcare, or similar food service environment.
• Knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety/sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow recipes, portion controls, and meal production schedules with attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and service standards.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to keep work areas clean and orderly.
• Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and grow within the role.
• Must be able to pass a 100% clean background check.
