Deframer Lead

Get in on the Ground Floor! Our client, a growing National Recycling Company has opened in Northeast San Antonio and is looking for Production Operators.  Pay is $16/hr for day shift, $18/hr for 2nd or 3rd shift.. Hours are 1st shift: 7am-3pm, 2nd shift: 2pm-11:30pm, 3rd shift: 11pm to 7:30am Monday-Friday with 30-minute lunch. This is a long term opportunity.

Duties for the Production Operator position include

• Lead and direct a crew of [2–3] deframe production employees, working hands-on alongside the team.
• Ensure incoming material is properly staged and fed to the station to maintain steady flow and minimize downtime.
• Conduct brief pre-shift huddles covering production goals, safety topics, and quality expectations.
• Apply and verify lockout/tagout before any clearing, inspection, or service activity on deframe equipment.
• Identify and escalate recurring bottleneck and efficiency issues, and recommend process improvement

 Requirements for the Production Operator position are:

• Operate deframing equipment and hand tools to remove aluminum frames and           separate module components following established procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and hold accountable a small production crew in a manufacturing or recycling environment.
• Computer literacy sufficient to record production data and use inventory, timekeeping, and email systems.
• Minimum of one year of production experience in recycling, manufacturing, or heavy industrial operations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and to team-lift heavier items
• Meet or exceed established production targets for the deframe line each shift.
• Respond to injuries, near misses, spills, and equipment incidents; secure the area, notify the Supervisor, and complete required documentation
• Must pass background check.
• Training/Testing is required prior to start.
