A leading engineering and metal fabrication company in Orion Twp. is seeking experienced TIG and MIG Welders to join their team of certified welders.
These are full-time, DIRECT HIRE positions that offer steady hours, overtime, benefits, and long-term stability.
Overview:
You’ll work on production and automated assembly systems for the aerospace and defense industry, where fitting and building what you weld is a key part of the job. This role is heavily focused on TIG welding, primarily on aluminum and invar, with some mild steel work as needed. Craftsmanship, consistency, and attention to detail are critical.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform TIG and MIG welding
- Work primarily with aluminum and invar
- Fit and assemble parts from prints and technical drawings
- Inspect welds for quality, consistency, and penetration
- Collaborate with team to meet quality and production goals
- Maintain safety standards and a clean, organized work area
What We’re Looking For:
- TIG and MIG welding experience
- Fabrication and fitting experience is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately
- Experience using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments
- Weld certifications preferred but not required
- Pride in workmanship and attention to detail
- Dependable, team-oriented, and safety-minded
- Meets ITAR requirements (U.S. Persons)
