Manufacturing Recruiter (Contract)
Express Employment Professionals is hiring on behalf of a local manufacturing company for a Contract Manufacturing Recruiter to support operations in Temple, Texas, and Spring City, Pennsylvania.
This temporary assignment (approximately 120 days) is ideal for an experienced recruiter who thrives on sourcing talent, building recruiting pipelines, and filling difficult-to-fill manufacturing positions. The primary focus will be recruiting skilled trades professionals, including machinists, CNC operators, maintenance technicians, welders, assemblers, painters, and other manufacturing personnel.
The successful candidate enjoys recruiting and takes pride in finding qualified candidates through proactive outreach, relationship building, networking, and creative sourcing strategies. This role is responsible for developing talent pipelines from the ground up, establishing community partnerships, and identifying new sources of manufacturing talent.
Schedule & Compensation
- Temporary contract assignment (approximately 120 days)
- Monday through Friday
- 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Target pay: $42.00 per hour
- Performance incentives for critical roles filled and employees retained
Essential Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle recruiting for skilled and semi-skilled manufacturing positions from sourcing through accepted offer.
- Spend the majority of each workday identifying, sourcing, contacting, and engaging prospective candidates.
- Proactively source active and passive candidates through cold calling, networking, referrals, social media, trade associations, workforce partners, technical schools, military transition programs, and other recruiting channels.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for recurring and difficult-to-fill manufacturing positions.
- Research local labor markets to identify new recruiting opportunities and talent sources.
- Develop relationships with technical schools, workforce development organizations, manufacturing associations, and community partners.
- Recruit, screen, qualify, and present candidates for consideration.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop recruiting strategies.
- Coordinate interviews and maintain communication throughout the hiring process.
- Represent the company at job fairs, career fairs, technical schools, and recruiting events.
- Maintain recruiting activity and documentation within the applicant tracking system.
- Track recruiting metrics and recommend improvements to sourcing strategies.
- Deliver an exceptional candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum three years of successful full-cycle recruiting experience.
- Proven success recruiting skilled and semi-skilled manufacturing positions, including skilled trades roles.
- Experience sourcing passive candidates through cold calling, networking, referrals, and relationship-based recruiting.
- Demonstrated ability to build recruiting pipelines rather than relying solely on applicants.
- Strong interviewing, candidate assessment, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple requisitions while maintaining a strong sense of urgency.
- Self-motivated with a proven record of achieving recruiting results.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ADP Recruitment or another applicant tracking system.
- Experience recruiting within Central Texas or Eastern Pennsylvania manufacturing markets.

Work Environment
- Primarily office-based with occasional travel to recruiting events, technical schools, and workforce partners.

- Occasional evening or weekend recruiting events may be required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to travel between locations and recruiting events.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to use standard office equipment and computer systems.
