Retail Inventory Counter

 

Our client is looking for reliable Retail Inventory Counters to assist with an upcoming store-wide inventory count!

 

When: THURSDAY 08/13/2026

Star time: 7a - until Finished

Pay $18.00/hr

 

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately count merchandise throughout the retail store.
• Use a handheld scanner to scan barcodes on merchandise.
• Scan fixture tags before counting items within each assigned section.
• Scan individual products and enter quantities when multiple identical items are present.
• Verify scanner totals and physically recount merchandise when prompted.
• Mark fixture tags with initials and item quantities as required.
• Work efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Follow directions from the Count Leader and ask questions when clarification is needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the inventory process.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the inventory count.
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and move throughout the store.
• Ability to repeatedly scan and handle merchandise.
• Ability to work at a steady pace while maintaining accuracy.
• Ability to lift and move merchandise as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Reliable and dependable attendance is required.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Comfortable using a handheld scanner or electronic device.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• No previous inventory experience required; training is provided.
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.
