We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our client's accounting team. This position plays a key role in ensuring timely customer payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the company's billing and revenue reconciliation processes. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and accounts receivable transactions.
• Monitor customer accounts and assist with collections activities for past-due balances.
• Communicate with customers regarding delinquent accounts and payment requests.
• Research payment discrepancies and outstanding balances with sales representatives and accounting staff.
• Create reports on customer account status and aging as needed.
• Assist with account reconciliations and monthly billing processes.
• Support monthly revenue account reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate records by copying, filing, and retrieving accounts receivable documents.
• Communicate updates and changes to appropriate team members.
• Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required, Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounts receivable, accounting, or related experience required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and accounting software.
• Experience using standard office equipment, including computers, copiers, and 10-key calculators.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Professional customer service and interpersonal skills.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
