Certified Forklift Operator

Pay Range: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
Location: Manassas, VA

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Certified Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have current forklift certification, experience operating material handling equipment, and a strong commitment to workplace safety. This role is responsible for loading, unloading, moving, and storing materials efficiently while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
• Move products and materials throughout the warehouse or facility.
• Inspect forklifts before operation and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and damage.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
• Follow all OSHA, company, and site-specific safety procedures.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Current Forklift Operator Certification required.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of forklift operating experience preferred.
• Experience with sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, or cherry picker equipment is a plus.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic math and inventory skills.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
