Forklift Operator

Location: Waterloo, IA
Pay: $20.50/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Type: Temp-to-Hire Opportunity

Position Overview

Express Employment Professionals in Waterloo is seeking a Forklift Operator to join a local manufacturing team. This position is responsible for operating a forklift to move materials throughout the facility, unload trucks, and support production operations. The ideal candidate will have previous forklift experience and be willing to assist with a variety of warehouse and production tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a forklift to move materials throughout the facility
• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
• Transport materials to production and warehouse areas
• Assist with machine operation as needed
• Perform general labor duties and facility clean-up
• Remove garbage and maintain a clean work environment
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Complete additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Previous forklift experience required
• Strong attention to safety and detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed, sometimes repetitively
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift
• Ability to safely perform warehouse and production-related tasks
