Job Description:
A Behavioral Center is seeking a dependable and organized Clerk to join our Crisis Department. This position plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the department and ensuring smooth communication and documentation. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide clerical support for the Crisis Department, including answering phones, handling correspondence, and managing emails.
• Assist in filing and maintaining client records and documentation, ensuring all files are up to date and in compliance with privacy regulations.
• Process and input data into computer systems accurately.
• Coordinate appointments, schedules, and meetings for the department and staff.
• Prepare and maintain reports, forms, and other necessary documents.
• Assist in the collection and organization of medical records, including interpreting medical terminology.
• Ensure smooth operation of office equipment and maintain supply inventory.
• Provide assistance with patient intake and registration processes when needed.
• Communicate effectively with staff, patients, and external organizations.
• Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent, with a transcript showing completion.
• Must provide High School Transcript.
• At least one year of clerical or administrative experience; experience in healthcare or behavioral health is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including fluency in both English and Spanish (bilingual required).
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to multitask and maintain organization in a busy environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other basic office software.
• Detail-oriented, with a high degree of professionalism and accuracy.
