Job Title: Clerk - Crisis DepartmentLocation: Edinburg, Tx Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMRequirements: High School Transcript, Valid Driver's License, BilingualJob Description:A Behavioral Center is seeking a dependable and organized Clerk to join our Crisis Department. This position plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the department and ensuring smooth communication and documentation. If you are looking to work in a fast-paced environment where you can make an impact, this is the job for you.Key Responsibilities:• Provide clerical support for the Crisis Department, including answering phones, handling correspondence, and managing emails.• Assist in filing and maintaining client records and documentation, ensuring all files are up to date and in compliance with privacy regulations.• Process and input data into computer systems accurately.• Coordinate appointments, schedules, and meetings for the department and staff.• Prepare and maintain reports, forms, and other necessary documents.• Assist in the collection and organization of medical records, including interpreting medical terminology.• Ensure smooth operation of office equipment and maintain supply inventory.• Provide assistance with patient intake and registration processes when needed.• Communicate effectively with staff, patients, and external organizations.• Perform other administrative duties as assigned.Qualifications:• High school diploma or equivalent, with a transcript showing completion.• Must provide High School Transcript. • At least one year of clerical or administrative experience; experience in healthcare or behavioral health is preferred.• Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including fluency in both English and Spanish (bilingual required).• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.• Ability to multitask and maintain organization in a busy environment.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other basic office software.• Detail-oriented, with a high degree of professionalism and accuracy.If interested, please give us a call to the McAllen office 956-664-9675 EXT 1-58.Send your resume to the McAllen office to be considered.
