This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to join a growing manufacturing organization and play an important role in financial reporting, month-end close, financial analysis, compliance, and accounting process improvement.

The Senior Accountant will work closely with operations and company leadership to provide accurate financial information, support business decisions, strengthen internal controls, and improve accounting processes. This position is ideal for an experienced Accountant, Senior Accountant, or Staff Accountant with strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.

Senior Accountant Responsibilities:

• Perform general ledger account reconciliations and month-end close activities

• Prepare and post journal entries

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation

• Analyze financial statements, accounts, and operational results

• Perform financial analysis and investigate variances or discrepancies

• Support government reporting and accounting compliance requirements

• Assist with employee ownership plan administration and insurance programs

• Participate in annual financial audits and tax preparation

• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation

• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and procedures

• Strengthen and maintain effective internal controls

• Partner with operations and leadership to provide financial information and analysis

Senior Accountant Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles

• Experience with general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close

• Strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

• Experience working with ERP or accounting software systems
