One Day Mascot - Customer and Crowd Engagement

We are looking for a SHOWMAN! A PERFORMER! A MASCOT! AND: HANDLER!

Position will be ONE day from 8 AM to Noon at a local retailer in Billings Heights.  You will be wearing a mascot/costume (will reveal at interview - he's a 'cheesy' type of guy!) 

Details of what you'll be doing: 

• Walking through the store and engaging with the customer base.  There is no talking and no exposure to who you are beneath the costume...you will be in character the whole time unless in the breakroom on break.  Moving through the store for 20 minutes at a time, taking a 10 minute break in the breakroom, and then repeating throughout the shift.
• Must be able to stay in character and on your feet for 4 hours.  Costume is heavy , be advised. 
• You will have a handler with you to be your ears/eyes/voice - there is a line of view through the nose and partial sides, but you must be aware of your surroundings and the handler's directions. (you are a team for this event!)
• You will be engaging with the customer base, taking pictures, etc.   Purpose of the event: HAVING FUN! 

HANDLER DETAILS:

• You will be the eyes/ears/voice for the character, helping keep the crowd engaged, taking pictures, and assisting the character while they navigate the store. Attention to detail and customer service is required.  Again, the purpose of the event is to create a fun and engaging experience for the store. 

Wage for the character is $25/hr

Wage for the handler is $23/hr
