Salary: $82,800 - $99,750 annually

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a motivated and analytical Industrial Engineer to join our client's manufacturing team. This role is responsible for designing, optimizing, and supporting efficient production systems with a focus on assembly line development, process improvement, capacity planning, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable vehicle and product assembly lines.
• Develop feeder cells to support efficient main line production flow.
• Perform line balancing based on takt time, production requirements, and demand forecasts.
• Conduct time studies and labor utilization analyses to improve efficiency.
• Assist in developing and maintaining standard work documentation.
• Optimize material presentation and flow to point-of-use locations.
• Analyze and improve production capacity constraints.
• Support facility and production layout redesigns to improve throughput, ergonomics, and safety.
• Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
• Support new product introductions through line integration and production planning.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturable product designs.
• Travel as needed to support operational objectives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field required.
• Experience in manufacturing, assembly line design, process improvement, or production engineering preferred.
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, line balancing, takt time, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience conducting time studies and labor analysis.
• Proficiency with data analysis and process improvement tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and sit for extended periods.
• Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Manual dexterity to operate office and manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
