Journeyman Electrician

Summary

We are seeking a motivated Journeyman Electrician who installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. The electrician works independently while ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• • Install electrical wiring, fixtures, outlets, panels, and equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical problems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems.
  • Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations.
  • Test electrical systems using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate work records and reports.
  • Supervise apprentices when required.

Qualifications & Skills

• • Journeyman Electrician license or certification (as required by state/local regulations) with 4 years' experience.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical documents.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license may be required.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work on ladders, scaffolds, and in confined spaces
  • Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
