Cable Operator | Belvidere| $19hr| Temp to Hire

Pay: $19.00/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Cable / Rebar Production Operator to join our manufacturing team. This position is ideal for individuals with machine operation experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced production environment and are committed to producing high-quality products safely and efficiently.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery to manufacture reinforcing cable and rebar products according to specifications.
• Load steel wire, cable, and raw materials into production equipment.
• Set up and adjust machines to ensure proper alignment and efficient operation.
• Cut, measure, bend, and assemble cable and rebar products to customer requirements.
• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and production schedules.
• Perform quality inspections using tape measures, calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
• Bundle, label, tag, and prepare finished products for shipping.
• Complete production paperwork and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Work with team members to meet daily production and quality goals.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing or machine operator experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and production documents.
• Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and gauges.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
