Custodian – 1st Shift | Local School District

Express Employment Professionals of La Crosse is hiring for a dependable and motivated Custodian for a local school district! If you take pride in keeping facilities clean, safe, and organized, this is a great opportunity to join a team that makes a difference every day.

This is a full-time, long-term position with the opportunity to be hired by the school district and receive an excellent benefits package.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay: Starting at $18.00-$21.00/hr, based on experience
• Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00AM-3:00PM

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, and common areas
• Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and empty trash
• Maintain building entrances, sidewalks, and exterior grounds
• Shovel snow and remove debris to keep walkways safe
• Report maintenance or safety concerns
• Complete additional custodial duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Valid driver's license required
• Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to work independently and follow cleaning schedules
• Comfortable working around students, staff, and the public
• Ability to lift 25-35 pounds and perform frequent bending, twisting, squatting, and standing throughout the shift
