Location: Salem, OR
PAY: $21.00–$24.00 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Weekend work and overtime may be available based on production needs.

 

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Yard & Material Coordinator for a local food manufacturing company. This hands-on position plays a key role in keeping production running efficiently by organizing raw materials, maintaining staging areas, supporting inventory movement, and ensuring food safety standards are followed.

Responsibilities:

• Organize and stage raw materials for production
• Inspect and verify incoming ingredients and containers
• Clean, label, and re-palletize raw materials
• Move materials between storage, thawing, staging, and production areas
• Monitor thawing progress and maintain traceability documentation
• Sort and organize reusable drums, pallets, and lids
• Maintain clean, organized yard and staging areas
• Coordinate cardboard and dumpster pickups
• Follow GMP, HACCP, SQF, SOP, and food safety standards
• Operate a forklift and assist with warehouse and yard duties as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Forklift experience required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. continuously and move 400 lb. drums when needed
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends as production demands
