Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for a Project Manager on behalf of a growing wholesale distribution company serving the marine industry.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic, hands-on professional with marine industry knowledge who enjoys solving complex challenges, streamlining operations, and driving projects from concept through completion. The ideal candidate will have experience managing supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, or product development projects and will thrive in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute supply chain projects, including sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, and procurement strategies.
• Coordinate manufacturing projects between overseas production facilities and domestic distribution operations to ensure timely product delivery.
• Support new product development efforts by collaborating with engineering, design, and operational teams.
• Forecast demand and work with sales and operations teams to optimize inventory levels and supply planning.
• Coordinate logistics, freight schedules, imports, and shipping requirements.
• Implement and monitor quality control processes to ensure products meet industry standards and customer expectations.
• Ensure project compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and operational requirements.
• Act as a liaison between procurement, manufacturing, sales, customer service, and other departments to align project goals and timelines.
• Track project milestones, budgets, timelines, and key performance indicators.
• Prepare regular project updates and reports for leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience in project management within supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, distribution, or related environments.
• Knowledge of marine products, marine hardware, or stainless-steel fabrication highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, forecasting, and supplier performance metrics.
• Experience managing international logistics, freight coordination, customs documentation, and import processes.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and business systems.

Preferred Experience

• Marine, manufacturing, industrial, wholesale distribution, or related industry experience.
• Inventory planning and demand forecasting.
• International freight, customs, and tariff management.
• Supplier relationship management and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Product development and product launch coordination.
