Mechanical Assembler

 

Hours: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm

 

Summary:

The mechanical assembler is responsible for completing mechanical builds or operations throughout the manufacturing process.

 

Essential Functions:

• Work from blueprints, operation sheets, rework and repair directives, and other written or verbal instructions
• Ability to braze copper joints for refrigerator circuits
• Generate, maintain and follow materials pulls and assembly floor schedules
• Maintain Status records
• Keep equipment and work area clean
• May require lifting and use of overhead hoist assembly

 

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• 1 year of assembly experience required
• Ability to read and understand simple drawings; ability to read electrical schematics a plus
• Must have basic math skills – add, subtract, multiply and divide as well as calculate decimals and fractions
• Forklift experience (stand-up and sit-down) a plus
