Job Full Description

Our client, a leading manufacturer in the packaging industry, is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join their HR team. This is a full-time, onsite position responsible for supporting payroll and benefits administration while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent employee service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees using ADP Workforce Now.
  • Review and validate payroll data, timecards, overtime, premiums, and other earnings for accuracy and compliance.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and timekeeping issues.
  • Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and employment documentation.
  • Maintain employee records within payroll and time & attendance systems.
  • Support benefits administration, enrollments, eligibility tracking, and reconciliations.
  • Assist with payroll reporting, T4 processing, WSIB reporting, and year-end activities.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, company policies, and internal controls.

Job Experience

  • 3-4 years of payroll experience in a mid-sized organization.
  • Strong experience with ADP Workforce Now (WFN), preferably AutoPay.
  • Manufacturing industry experience is preferred.
  • Experience supporting payroll and benefits administration.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and payroll systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and build effective working relationships.

Job Education

  • PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) designation is considered an asset.
