Packaging Machine Operator

Pay: $21.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Packaging Machine Operator to join a growing manufacturing team in Greenville, SC. This position is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate has previous experience operating packaging or manufacturing equipment and is comfortable troubleshooting machinery to keep production running efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor packaging equipment, including fillers, sealers, labelers, conveyors, and case packers.
• Perform machine setup, changeovers, and adjustments according to production schedules.
• Conduct routine quality inspections to ensure products meet company specifications.
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform basic equipment maintenance when appropriate.
• Report major mechanical issues to the maintenance team.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with GMP and company standards.
• Complete production documentation, including batch records, production logs, and inventory reports.
• Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating packaging or manufacturing machinery is required.
• Must have proven experience being mechanically inclined and troubleshooting equipment.
• Ability to perform machine setups, changeovers, and basic adjustments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
