Baler Operator

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Baler Operator to join our team. This position is responsible for operating industrial baling equipment to compress and prepare recyclable materials for shipment. The ideal candidate has experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment, is mechanically inclined, and is committed to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Essential Responsibilities

• Operate industrial balers to compact recyclable materials.
• Sort, inspect, and prepare recyclable materials for processing.
• Tie, label, weigh, and stage finished bales for shipment or storage.
• Monitor baler performance and report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Maintain accurate production and inventory records as required.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and environmental guidelines.
• Work closely with warehouse and production teams to ensure efficient workflow.
• Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, manufacturing, recycling, or baler operating experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to safely operate industrial equipment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
• Ability to safely operate industrial machinery and material handling equipment.
