Express Employment Professionals is hiring on behalf of a local client!

Our local client is seeking a Shipping & Receiving / Assembly Associate to support daily shipping, receiving, packaging, and assembly operations. This position is ideal for a dependable individual who enjoys a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in accuracy and organization.

Pay

$20.00 per hour

Schedule

Monday - Friday
7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Job Responsibilities

• Package parts, components, and assemblies for shipment while ensuring quality standards are met
• Prepare and ship orders accurately and efficiently
• Coordinate shipments using FedEx, UPS, and other freight carriers
• Work with planning and production teams to arrange overnight, next-day, and ground shipments
• Ensure all required paperwork and documentation accompany outgoing shipments
• Organize special packaging requirements, including crates and custom shipping materials
• Schedule and coordinate pick-ups and deliveries
• Receive incoming shipments and unpack materials promptly
• Organize and maintain documentation received with incoming products
• Inspect incoming shipments for damage and report issues to carriers and management
• Assist with incoming quality inspections from outside vendors and processors
• Support assembly and other production duties as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Follow all company safety procedures and employee handbook guidelines
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

• Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, assembly, or manufacturing experience preferred
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to accurately complete shipping paperwork and documentation
• Comfortable using computers and shipping software
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday
• Must follow proper lifting and safety procedures
• Work environment includes both office and manufacturing shop conditions
• May be exposed to moving equipment, heat, cold, fumes, and other typical production conditions
• Must wear appropriate work attire and follow all safety requirements
