Hours: 6:00AM to 2:30PM, M-F

Position Overview

Our client is a leader in metal finishing services and seeking a Plating Associate to assist with the quality application of surface finishes.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

 

Desired Experience & Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years as plating/anodizing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Nadcap requirements and Mil-Specs preferred
• Read blueprints and determine the requirements relate to the finish specifications
• Understanding of the safe use of the chemicals involved in the plating process
• Able to determine the current densities based on calculated surface area of pieces
• Working knowledge of temperatures and agitation needs of processing tanks.
• Skill with micrometers and X-Ray fluorescence machines to determine thickness
• Knowledge of how to properly strip a finish from a base material
• Experience with masking as required for the plating process
• Effective communication skills.
