Welder / Fabricator / Coil

Salary: 22.00 an hour

Express Employment Professionals is looking for an Experienced Welder / Fabricator for a Manufacturer  with Ft. Pierce and Palm City Locations.

MAJOR FUNCTION

This position will require basic fabrication and welding background and experience. 

The primary function of this role will be a variety of fabrication, welding and coil operator duties. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least (6) six months to one year of experience in fabrication / warehousing environment.
• Ability to work independently.
• Candidate must demonstrate problem solving skills.
• Must have good math skills and be detailed oriented.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,

operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

• Must be able to perform working conditions which includes standing,

walking or bending for long periods of time, up to 8-10 hours.

• Must be able to work scheduled or unscheduled overtime when necessary to meet business demands.
• Must be able to lift to 70 pounds.
• Measure and cut all sheet metal.
• Set up all equipment in manufacturing and design of coils and make adjustments as needed.
• Craftsmanship experience to manufacture designs into tangible objects, forming a critical link in the production and fabrication of parts.
• Keep work area clean and adhere to all safety rules and procedures.
• Maintain high efficiency and keep up with workload.
• Must have the ability to be open-minded and to continually improve processes.

• Must be able to work in a team environment and have a positive winning attitude.
• Must have high level of professionalism, maturity, and good judgment.

 

 

KNOWLEDGE & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

• Ability to read interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to read and write and speak English effectively.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• The ideal candidate will possess problem solving skills, dependability and will observe all safety and security guidelines.
• Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with non-A/C working environment.
• Must be able to work around mechanical / pneumatic tools and be able to use them.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced working environment, and be multi-tasked.
• Must be reliable, dependable and have good attendance.
• Must be able to work occasional overtime, including Saturday’s as work demands.
