Shipping/Material Handler

Express Employment Professionals is looking for Shipping Material handler for a Manufacturer with Ft. Pierce and Palm City locations.

MAJOR FUNCTION
This position will require basic warehousing and shipping background and experience.
The primary function of this role will be a variety of shipping / warehouse duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•
Locating and picking parts for shipment.
•
Packing service parts for shipment.
•
Processing shipments thru various carriers.
•
Packaging or boxing parts per order specifications
•
Loading and unloading of trucks.
•
Palletizing materials to required shipping method. Make ready for shipping.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
•
High school diploma or equivalent.
•
At least (3) three months experience in warehousing or production environment.
•
Ability to work independently.
•
Must be able to read, write and understand English.
•
Ability to use gun scanners effectively.
•
Candidate must demonstrate problem solving skills.
•
Must have good math skills and be detailed oriented.
•
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,
operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
•
Must pick parts from heightened areas.
•
Must be able to perform working conditions which includes standing,
walking or bending for long periods of time, up to 8-10 hours.
•
Must be able to work scheduled or unscheduled overtime when necessary to meet business demands.
•
Forklift driving experience a must.
•
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
•
Must be able to perform duties such as stocking, organizing and handling
of machines or parts.
•
Must be able to work in a team environment and have a positive winning attitude.
•
Must have high level of professionalism, maturity, and good judgment.
•
Must have good attendance and background.
