$22hr to $25hr depending on experience.

A leading regional producer and distributor of premium meat and seafood products throughout Southern California is seeking a reliable and safety-focused CDL-B Driver to join their team in Northridge. Supplying foodservice establishments and broad-line food distributors with the highest quality pork, beef, poultry, lamb, and seafood products. If you have a strong work ethic, excellent customer service skills, and experience operating refrigerated box trucks, we'd like to hear from you.

Summary: The CDL-B Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of refrigerated meat and seafood products to customers throughout Southern California using a refrigerated box truck. This position plays a critical role in ensuring products are delivered safely, on time, and in accordance with all DOT regulations and food safety standards while providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a CDL-B refrigerated box truck to deliver products throughout Southern California.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any vehicle maintenance or safety concerns.
• Load, transport, and unload meat and seafood products while maintaining proper temperature control.
• Verify orders against invoices and ensure deliveries are complete and accurate.
• Utilize pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment to safely unload products.
• Obtain customer signatures and complete all required delivery paperwork accurately.
• Maintain compliance with all DOT regulations, company policies, and food safety requirements.
• Provide courteous, professional, and timely customer service at every delivery location.
• Communicate route updates, delays, or customer concerns to dispatch and management.
• Keep delivery vehicle clean, organized, and in safe operating condition.
• Assist with warehouse loading and staging activities as needed.
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Valid California Class B Commercial Driver License (CDL-B).
• Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
• Clean driving record with the ability to meet company insurance requirements.
• Previous experience operating refrigerated box trucks preferred.
• Experience in foodservice, refrigerated, or route delivery is highly desirable.
• Ability to safely operate lift gates, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Knowledge of Southern California delivery routes is a plus.
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail.
• Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds.
• Repeatedly load and unload product throughout the workday.
• Ability to climb in and out of the truck multiple times per route.
• Stand, walk, bend, reach, and twist for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in refrigerated environments and varying outdoor weather conditions.
