Collection Agent

Salary: up to $16.50/hr

Express Employment Professionals are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Credit and Collections Clerk to join a local company. This role requires handling high call volumes, processing payments, and managing past-due accounts. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong multitasking abilities who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Collections experience and bilingual skills are a plus!

Responsibilities:

• Take payments and process credit card transactions accurately.
• Handle work bonds and ensure proper documentation.
• Call on past-due accounts to collect outstanding balances.
• Provide account balances and answer inquiries from clients.
• Contact past clients to collect overdue funds.
• Heavy phone traffic – make no less than 50 calls per day.
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records.
• Enter and update information in Excel spreadsheets.
• Assist with general administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in collections, billing, or accounts receivable is a plus.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
• Strong multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
• A self-starter who is highly motivated and flexible.
• Comfortable making high-volume calls daily.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data entry.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
