Sewing Machine Operator 8am-4pm

Express is seeking a sewing who is able to put together patio umbrellas by hand and also operating an industrial pipe machine.

 

Responsibilities:

• Operate industrial sewing machines to stitch fabric panels together according to specified patterns and dimensions.
• Ensure seams are finished neatly and securely to maintain high-quality standards.
• Perform manual assembly tasks such as attaching hardware, handles, and other components to complete umbrella assembly.
• Inspect finished products for quality and consistency, making adjustments as needed.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols when operating machinery and handling materials.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate workflow and meet production deadlines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
• Occasionally assist in other production tasks and cross-train in different areas of umbrella manufacturing.

Requirements: 

• Attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent quality in stitching and assembly.
• Able to stand, sit, bend, twist, squat throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 25lbs
• Knowledge of different types of stitches and their applications preferred
