Landscape Maintenance Technician

A confidential employer is hiring a dependable Groundskeeper / Landscape Maintenance Technician to maintain attractive, clean, and safe outdoor spaces across a large property. This hands-on position is ideal for someone experienced in landscaping, lawn care, tree maintenance, irrigation, and groundskeeping equipment.

• Pay: $20.50 per hour
• Schedule: Monday through Friday
• Hours: 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
• Seasonal overtime and occasional schedule flexibility may be required.

Key Responsibilities

• Mow, edge, trim, blow, sweep, pull weeds, and remove litter and debris.
• Maintain lawns, landscaped beds, parking areas, walkways, trails, and property entrances.
• Plant, prune, water, spray, and care for trees, shrubs, annual flowers, and perennials.
• Cut and trim branches using pruning tools, power saws, and chainsaws.
• Use ladders and aerial lifts to reach branches at approved working heights.
• Operate zero-turn mowers, reel mowers, push mowers, tractors, line trimmers, edgers, blowers, brush chippers, stump grinders, sprayers, vacuums, and paint machines.
• Complete daily preventive maintenance and safety inspections on tools and equipment.
• Assist with irrigation-system installation, maintenance, and minor repairs.
• Prepare soil, cultivate planting beds, apply mulch, compost organic material, and complete seasonal flower rotations.
• Construct or renovate ornamental beds, planter boxes, and small retaining walls according to approved plans.
• Apply fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides under appropriate supervision and according to safety requirements.
• Identify and report diseased turf, damaged trees, unsafe conditions, and landscape hazards.
• Help repair and maintain roads, parking areas, walkways, storm drains, and outdoor fixtures.
• Maintain trash containers, bicycle racks, outdoor seating, and related property features.
• Support special events, projects, conferences, seasonal work, and emergency-response activities.
• Follow established procedures, safety standards, and daily work assignments with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Previous landscaping, groundskeeping, lawncare, turf-maintenance, or property-maintenance experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to operate commercial landscaping and ground-maintenance equipment safely.
• Ability to understand and follow detailed verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work independently, organize assigned tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of plant care, pruning, irrigation, turf maintenance, and equipment upkeep is helpful.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
• Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions.
• Ability to climb ladders and frequently reach, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, stand, walk, and push or pull equipment.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds independently.
• Ability to perform strenuous physical work throughout the scheduled shift.
• Willingness to wear the required uniform and personal protective equipment.
