Manufacturing Test Technician

Location: Round Rock
Pay: $22 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

This opportunity is ideal for someone with experience or training in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, process improvement, tooling, equipment troubleshooting, or manufacturing engineering support. You will work closely with manufacturing engineers and production teams in a practical, fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do

• Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to improve production processes.
• Support continuous improvement projects, including Kaizen events, 5S, and value stream mapping.
• Assist manufacturing engineers with standard work, workflow improvements, and production line balancing.
• Identify and troubleshoot process, material, tooling, and equipment problems to minimize production downtime.
• Develop, assemble, source, and modify tooling, fixtures, test stations, and production equipment.
• Conduct time studies and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.
• Support new product introduction and new manufacturing process implementation.
• Read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, engineering documentation, and bills of materials (BOMs).
• Review engineering documents and help prepare change orders, corrective actions, and deviation requests.
• Assist with failure analysis and root-cause investigations.
• Perform tests, collect production data, and prepare technical reports with support from manufacturing engineering.
• Complete preventive maintenance activities and improve PM checklists to increase equipment and test-station uptime.
• Participate in environmental, health, and safety initiatives.
• Follow applicable policies, procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in manufacturing, production, engineering support, industrial technology, or a related technical environment.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, root-cause analysis, or other continuous improvement methods.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and practical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, assembly instructions, and BOMs.
• Comfortable collecting data, conducting time studies, documenting findings, and preparing reports.
• Able to collaborate effectively with engineers, maintenance personnel, quality teams, and production employees.
• Safety-focused, dependable, and detail-oriented.
