Position Summary

The Millwright is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and dismantling industrial machinery and mechanical equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. This position performs preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, conveyor systems, pumps, motors, gearboxes, compressors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and other mechanical equipment while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Install, assemble, align, and commission industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine appropriate repair methods.
  • Repair or replace bearings, gears, shafts, belts, seals, motors, pumps, and other mechanical components.
  • Align machinery using laser alignment systems, dial indicators, and other precision measuring tools.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
  • Dismantle and rebuild machinery as required.
  • Perform rigging activities using cranes, hoists, slings, and lifting equipment.
  • Lubricate equipment and maintain proper lubrication schedules.
  • Perform basic welding, cutting, and fabrication as needed.
  • Inspect equipment for wear, damage, and potential failures.
  • Complete work orders and maintenance documentation accurately.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), OSHA regulations, and all company safety policies.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to minimize downtime.
  • Assist with equipment upgrades, installations, and plant improvement projects.
  • Participate in emergency repairs and scheduled shutdowns as required.
