General / Operations Manager - Valve Services - D210

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year

Our client is seeking an experienced General / Operations Manager to lead the operational, financial, and strategic direction of a well-established industrial service company specializing in valve repair and service.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership for daily operations, including shop and field service activities
• Drive operational efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
• Manage company profitability through budgeting, P&L oversight, cost control, and revenue growth initiatives
• Develop and execute strategic plans that support long-term business objectives
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and all applicable safety and quality standards
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, scheduling, turnaround times, and customer satisfaction
• Manage workforce planning, equipment, tooling, and inventory to meet operational demands
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships while supporting business development and regional growth
• Partner with customers on service agreements, contract negotiations, and long-term account management
• Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in industrial operations, valve services, manufacturing, maintenance, or a related industry
• Strong understanding of industrial valve repair, testing, maintenance, or related mechanical equipment
• Demonstrated success managing P&L, budgets, operational performance, and business growth
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities with employees, customers, and executive leadership
• Experience using ERP systems and monitoring operational KPIs
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Business, or a related field preferred
• API or valve inspection certifications are a plus
