Job Summary

Express Employment Professionals of Yukon are seeking a motivated and reliable Disposal Technician to support the operation and maintenance of oilfield disposal facilities and related equipment in Kingfisher. This hands-on role is responsible for maintaining facilities, equipment, and company assets while ensuring safe, efficient, and dependable operations. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and able to work independently while contributing to a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain disposal facilities, equipment, and company vehicles in a clean, safe, and serviceable condition.
  • Power wash tanks, pumps, piping, containment areas, and other facility equipment.
  • Perform mowing, weed eating, spraying, trash removal, and general groundskeeping duties.
  • Complete painting, facility upkeep, and minor repairs as needed.
  • Inspect equipment and replace basic wear items and components.
  • Operate tractors and attachments, including brush hogs, box blades, buckets, and related equipment.
  • Troubleshoot operational and equipment issues.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on pumps, switches, and minor electrical components.
  • Conduct welding, fabrication, and oxy-fuel torch work as required.
  • Complete inspection reports, invoices, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
  • Develop an understanding of facility layouts, disposal systems, fluid movement, and operational processes.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, customers, and vendors.
  • Support maintenance projects and assist with routine operational needs.
  • Follow all company policies, customer requirements, and safety regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Schedule

  • Full-time, hourly position.
  • Standard schedule is Monday through Friday beginning at 7:00 AM with a one-hour lunch break.
  • One week per month of on-call rotation.
  • Flexibility is required to respond to equipment breakdowns, operational demands, and customer needs.
  • Overtime and occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to learn and operate power tools and machinery.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn maintenance procedures.
  • Safety-oriented mindset.
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable work ethic.
  • Strong communication skills and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Welding and fabrication experience preferred but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting is a plus.
  • Customer service focused with strong multitasking abilities.
  • Must be able to pass required drug and alcohol screenings.

Physical Requirements

  • Regular work performed both outdoors and indoors.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to push up to 60 lbs. and pull up to 150 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, climbing ladders, and working around industrial equipment.
  • Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and oilfield environments.
