Location: Plant City, FL
Pay: $18.00/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

 

Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking an experienced Sit-Down Forklift Operator for a growing building materials company in Plant City. This position is ideal for someone who is confident handling large, bulky materials and has experience loading and unloading flatbed trucks in a fast-paced warehouse or yard environment.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a sit-down forklift to move, stage, and transport building materials throughout the warehouse and yard.
• Load and unload flatbed trucks while ensuring materials are properly balanced, secured, and handled safely.
• Transport oversized and heavy products, including lumber and other construction materials.
• Pull and stage customer orders for shipping and delivery.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for accuracy and damage.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies and forklift operating procedures.
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of recent sit-down forklift experience.
• Experience handling large or oversized building materials is strongly preferred.
• Previous experience loading and unloading flatbed trucks is highly preferred. Loading flatbed trucks requires careful attention to load balance and secure placement to ensure safe transport.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work both indoors and outdoors as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Reliable transportation and excellent attendance.
