America’s largest supplier of building materials, value-added components, and building services to the professional market is seeking a Wood Moulder Operator to join their team in Burbank.

Summary: The Wood Moulder Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining wood moulding equipment to produce precision wood products, including trim, molding, flooring, and other custom profiles. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality, safety, and production efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up, adjust, and operate wood moulder machines to produce specified wood profiles and dimensions.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production specifications to ensure accurate product output.
  • Monitor machine performance throughout production and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards.
  • Inspect finished products using measuring tools to verify dimensions, tolerances, and overall quality.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Troubleshoot machine issues and coordinate repairs or maintenance as needed to minimize downtime.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
  • Accurately document production information, machine settings, and quality inspections.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; vocational or technical training in woodworking or manufacturing preferred.
  • Previous experience operating wood moulder machines or similar woodworking equipment preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform machine setups and adjustments.
  • Ability to read blueprints, work orders, and production drawings.
  • Experience using digital measuring tools and precision measuring equipment.
  • Knowledge of wood species, grain characteristics, and machining techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and a strong focus on workplace safety.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and reach while operating equipment and handling materials.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and moving machinery.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
