Key Responsibilities

• Provide manufacturing engineering support for assigned production cells and manufacturing operations.
• Serve as acting Cell Leader or production lead when required, ensuring continuity of operations.
• Collaborate with production teams to achieve operational performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain manufacturing engineering project logs and ensure timely updates on assigned initiatives.
• Represent manufacturing engineering in daily production meetings and operational review meetings.
• Design, specify, and implement equipment, tooling, fixtures, and storage solutions to support manufacturing requirements.
• Review Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and coordinate all aspects of implementation within production areas.
• Assign and maintain inventory locations and material flow systems to support efficient operations.
• Develop, update, and maintain shop floor instructions, process documentation, and training materials.
• Train and support manufacturing personnel on process standards and work instructions.
• Create and maintain facility and production layouts, including inventory, housekeeping, safety, emergency, and security maps.
• Lead or support capital equipment upgrades, installations, modifications, and facility improvement projects.
• Implement and facilitate Lean Manufacturing initiatives, including 5S, value stream mapping, setup reduction, waste elimination, and continuous improvement activities.
• Promote a culture of teamwork, safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Lead or participate in cross-functional problem-solving teams to identify and resolve manufacturing, quality, and operational issues.
• Conduct contract and process reviews to ensure manufacturability and compliance with operational requirements.
• Evaluate labor standards, process efficiency, and manufacturing performance to drive productivity improvements.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field; or
• Engineering Technology diploma or equivalent technical education and experience.

Experience

• 1 to 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience in a production environment.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Lean certification preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience implementing lean practices.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk, stand, sit, bend, and climb for extended periods as required in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work on the production floor and in office settings as needed.
