Industrial Maintenance Technician

Located in Monroe, LA

Salary: $22/hr-$28/hr

Job Summary:
The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing and production equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. This role supports daily operations by performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring all equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement effective solutions
• Install, maintain, and repair production and facility equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
• Assist with equipment upgrades, modifications, and new installations
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime
• Collaborate with production teams to improve equipment performance

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school preferred
• 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience (manufacturing environment preferred)
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting is a plus
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and kneeling
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment (heat, noise, etc.)

Schedule & Work Environment:

• Full-time position; overtime and on-call work may be required
• May include nights, weekends, or rotating shifts depending on production needs
