Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager to lead the daily operations of our equipment rental business. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the operation, including sales, customer service, fleet management, financial performance, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to drive growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the equipment rental facility, ensuring efficiency, safety, and high-quality service
• Manage and lead a team including sales staff, service technicians, drivers, and administrative personnel
• Drive revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives, customer relationship development, and market expansion
• Monitor and manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
• Ensure proper maintenance, utilization, and lifecycle management of rental equipment fleet
• Develop and enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by resolving issues and ensuring timely service delivery
• Analyze operational data and implement process improvements to increase productivity and profitability
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and key clients
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a management role, preferably in equipment rental, construction, manufacturing, or a related industry
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Solid understanding of business operations, financial management, and sales strategies
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business management software
• Valid driver’s license (required)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in equipment rental or heavy equipment industry
• Knowledge of fleet management systems and maintenance practices
• Background in sales or business development

Work Schedule

• Full-time position (Monday–Friday with occasional weekends as needed)
