Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting for our Westfield, NY client. Our client is looking for a CNC Machinist. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of machine tools to manufacture precision parts and components. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a production environment.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC and conventional machine tools including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other machining equipment.
  • Machine parts to precise specifications using blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Measure, inspect, and test finished components using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  • Select appropriate tooling, machines, and materials for machining operations.
  • Lay out, measure, and mark metal stock for cutting and machining processes.
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards.
  • Diagnose equipment issues and determine when repairs or adjustments are needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and quality requirements.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Previous CNC machining and machine setup experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and technical ability.
  • Basic math skills, including measurements and calculations.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Willingness to learn, accept training, and follow established procedures.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
  • Flexibility to work any shift as assigned.

Must be flexible on working 2nd shift. Pay for this position will be between $22.46-$28.07/hr based on experience.
