Brake Press Operator
Express Employment Professionals of Longview is currently seeking a skilled and dependable Brake Press Operator for a manufacturing company in Longview, TX. Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Must be available to work day or night shift
Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are preferred.
Position Summary
The Brake Press Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines used to bend, form, and shape metal components according to engineering drawings and production specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality work while adhering to safety standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC and/or manual press brake machines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, work orders, and production documents.
- Select the appropriate tooling, dies, and materials required for each project.
- Measure, inspect, and verify finished products using precision measuring instruments.
- Adjust machine settings and tooling to ensure products meet specifications and quality standards.
- Identify and correct production issues while maintaining required tolerances.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with supervisors, welders, and fabrication team members to meet production goals.
- Complete assigned work orders accurately and efficiently.
- Meet production deadlines while maintaining high quality standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience operating a press brake or similar metal fabrication equipment preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficiency with measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
- Basic math skills and strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of metal fabrication processes, metal gauges, and bending techniques preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus.

- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and move throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
