Express Employment Professionals is recruiting an experienced Strategic Sourcing Specialist for a direct-hire opportunity with a stable, global manufacturing organization.

This position will develop and execute sourcing strategies across multiple indirect-spend categories. These may include transportation and logistics, facilities services, capital and infrastructure projects, HR and professional services, vendor-managed inventory, tooling, fixtures, and other operational services.

 

The ideal candidate will combine strong contract-negotiation skills with the ability to analyze spending, identify cost-saving opportunities, manage supplier performance, and support stakeholders across multiple departments.

 

What You’ll Do

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies across multiple indirect-spend categories

• Lead competitive bids, requests for proposals, supplier evaluations, and contract negotiations

• Source services supporting facilities, logistics, capital projects, human resources, operations, and other business functions

• Analyze current spending and identify savings, consolidation, and process-improvement opportunities

• Negotiate pricing, service levels, contractual terms, performance requirements, and risk protections

• Build and maintain productive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders

• Conduct supplier performance reviews and resolve service, compliance, and quality concerns

• Support sourcing for high-value infrastructure, equipment, and capital-expenditure projects

• Monitor market conditions, supplier capabilities, and category-specific trends

• Ensure suppliers comply with applicable contracts, confidentiality requirements, trade regulations, safety standards, procurement policies, and ethical practices

• Partner with operations, engineering, finance, human resources, and other departments

• Use ERP/MRP systems and analytical tools to support sourcing decisions

• Manage multiple projects, contracts, and priorities with limited supervision

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, finance, or a related discipline

• At least five years of indirect sourcing, strategic procurement, category management, or contract-management experience

• Experience managing multiple indirect-spend categories

• Experience with facilities services, logistics, capital projects, professional services, vendor-managed inventory, tooling, or related categories is highly desirable

• Demonstrated success negotiating complex contracts and commercial agreements

• Strong understanding of competitive bidding, cost analysis, supplier management, compliance, and risk mitigation

• Experience conducting market analysis and identifying measurable savings

• Working knowledge of ERP or MRP systems

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

• Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills

• Ability to influence decisions and collaborate across multiple departments

• Ability to work in the United States indefinitely without current or future employer sponsorship

Schedule and Location

 

This is a full-time, in-person position located in Alachua, Florida. Remote work is not available for this role.
