Job Title:Custodian

Pay: $16.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Location: Dallas, TX

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of classrooms, hallways, offices, restrooms, cafeterias, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect floors, furniture, and surfaces.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste properly.
• Perform routine building maintenance and minor repairs as needed.
• Maintain school grounds by removing litter and ensuring outdoor areas are clean and presentable.
• Safely handle, store, and use cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Operate custodial equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
• Conduct regular inspections of the facility and report maintenance, safety, or security concerns.
• Assist with building security by locking/unlocking designated areas and monitoring facility access.
• Order and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, maintenance materials, and equipment.
• Set up and break down rooms for school activities, meetings, and events.
• Respond promptly to spills, emergencies, and custodial service requests.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous janitorial, custodial, maintenance, or cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and climb as needed.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to pass any required background checks for working in a school environment.
• Must follow all school policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
